New Cursor Interface

Summary
Cursor 3.0 ships the Agents Window — a new top-level interface for running multiple agents in parallel across local, cloud, and remote SSH environments, with side-by-side or grid Agent Tabs. New commands include /worktree for isolated git branches, /best-of-n for parallel multi-model task runs, and an Await tool for monitoring subagents. Design Mode lets users annotate browser UI elements directly for agent targeting. Cloud agents are removed from the Editor and consolidated into the Agents Window.
Implications
Agent-IDE feature race. The Agents Window is Cursor’s most direct answer to the multi-agent trend. Parallel agents with /best-of-n (running the same task across multiple models and picking the winner) is an architectural move none of the CLI competitors (Aider, Codex CLI, Claude Code) expose natively at the UX layer. This raises the floor for what “agent-native IDE” means.
Model integration cadence. /best-of-n across multiple models implies Cursor is routing to multiple frontier providers simultaneously — this is a latent pricing and reliability risk (token spend multiplied by N), but also a capability differentiator. Watch whether this becomes a paid-tier feature.
Pricing model evolution. Enterprise controls arrive in force: audit logs, team-level cloud agent admin, and the ability to disable “Made with Cursor” attribution. The B2B pricing surface is maturing alongside the consumer product.
Watch: Whether /best-of-n exposes which models are in rotation, and whether Design Mode (browser UI annotation) expands into a full computer-use loop competing with Operator-style agents.
