Zed hits 1.0. First stable release of the Rust-native editor. Bookmarks (persisted across sessions), git view-commit by ref, DeepSeek V4 Pro/Flash models, always-Responses-API for OpenAI, interleaved_reasoning for OpenAI-compatible models, GIF animation in Markdown preview. 50+ bug fixes. Breaking: soft_wrap: preferred_line_length → soft_wrap: bounded. Zed Guild community contributors now account for a significant share of shipped features. The Rust reimagination pattern (oxc, Typst, Helix, Zed) reaches its biggest milestone.
