v2.1.202

Source: Anthropic Claude Code Date: 2026-07-06 URL: https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/releases/tag/v2.1.202

Summary

Claude Code v2.1.202 is a maintenance release: a new /config setting to advise dynamic-workflow agent-count sizing (small/medium/large), added OpenTelemetry attributes (workflow.run_id, workflow.name) for reconstructing workflow-spawned agent activity, and roughly a dozen bug fixes spanning history search, background-session rename, mTLS rotation, Remote Control commands, and skill re-invocation duplicating context. /review <pr> reverts to fast single-pass (multi-agent review now lives under /code-review).

Implications

Following the four-release autonomy-sprint run (v2.1.198→201) and a quiet day at v2.1.201, this is the sprint’s tail: telemetry and config knobs for the dynamic-workflow feature rather than new capability surface. Feeds agent-layer convergence — the workflow-sizing control and per-workflow OpenTelemetry attributes are infrastructure for running and observing multi-agent workflows at scale, the same primitive class other coding-agent vendors are converging on. No change to the closed-model capability clock; this is tooling maturation, not a frontier move.
